HOW POPULAR VOICES INFLUENCE AND HARM THE CAUSE

I don’t want to devalue anyone’s voice or experiences. Especially with those I don’t know, I can only trust what they are saying is true. However, black individuals who refuse to acknowledge a problem simply because they didn’t experience what many do is dangerous. What I’m seeing is popular voices influence and harm the cause to make change for minorities.
 
I’m not the only Black American to have grown up in white culture. My life was much different than many Black Americans in other parts of this country. I think we tend to expect our different life experience to represent the whole.

That’s just not the case.
Black influencers and how they harm the cause

BLACK INFLUENCERS

People like Candace Owens and Brandon Tatum are insensitive and rude individuals. I like them both and agree with many point they make like, I absolutely agree we need to step away from the race wars. I am all aboard free thinking and not taking the bait, I get it. I also agree that White supremacy is not the biggest issue facing Black America today.
 
For instance, if you go back and look at footage from 1992 LA riots following the acquittal of the officers who beat Rodney King within an inch of his life and the riots now, there is STARK CONTRAST between the attitudes and support of the white population. Then racism was on high. Today in 2020 Black America has never had more support in the cause to be treated better and fairly than ever a time in history.

But they use dangerously inaccurate statistics that cause more harm than good. It gaslights those who have and do experience terrible things while promoting others to remain comfortable in corrupt systems. I’m not here to support any one group more than than the other, I want to see change that breaks the mold we’ve been using for centuries. Time doesn’t change crooked systems it just allows us all to become accustom to them.
 

REALITY MATTERS

With that said, the damage has been done. We’ve got worse segregation in housing and schools than during Jim Crow. The Crime Bill of 1994 has already jailed over 2 million Black men and women taking them away from their families, many over minor offenses while leaving the White communities untouched for the same crimes.

 
Our criminal justice system has already taken minor offenders who could’ve been rehabilitated and taught to be productive members of society and instead created elite criminals who are being punished to a point they become enraged with the system and will never see light or be productive members of society.
 
Again, we shouldn’t be focused on white guilt, white privilege, and racism, that’s all garbage propaganda baiting, designed to keep division. Instead, we should be focused on on fixing the systems that were ABSOLUTELY built on racism and ruined opportunities and lives for many Americans of color.
 
Not everyone can just up and move out of the projects people. It doesn’t work like that. It costs of average $3500 just to move from one place to another, not including, extra expenses in higher rent, utilities, or travel. It’s time to think outside the box folks. What seems like basic logic isn’t always easily executed!

How Popular Black Voices Harm the Cause

REAL CHANGE COMES THORUGH COMPASSION

Have some compassion and seek to understand. Everything has a cause and effect. A massive amount of minorities didn’t choose to live and send their children to school in unacceptable conditions by any stretch of the imagination.
 
Minorities, specifically Black America, worked for free for 250 years while this country built wealth. Not everyone benefited but the studies show Black Americans have overcome the highest hurdles in the shortest period of time than any other race on American soil.
 
It’s not an unrealistic request to be treated better and given some opportunities having started 300 years behind!
 
Again, revenge and hatred is NOT the answer. Race wars are not the answer. Seeking the Lord, walking in forgiveness for the failure of our government to protect the rights of all citizens is REQUIRED. Second, asking for and accepting the massive amount of support to change systems is essential.The Declaration of Independence states: Note RED section…
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, —That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.
 
Based on our founding documents, it’s expected for the people to come together and make change when necessary. We simply need to focus on the right things. Our country is in a productive time right now, let’s not let this opportunity slip by.
